In 2011 and 2012 ASR and Australian National University (ANU) developed the family migration survey directed at the partners of skilled, family and humanitarian primary applicants that had arrived in Australia within the previous 5 years. ANU was the lead contractor for (DIAC) on this project. The research was to determine the effect of family on the experiences of migrant settlement in Australia. The survey was administered by paper with an option for online completion (n=10,000).
ASR developed the questionnaire and conducted cognitive testing group sessions among selected migrant groups with interpreters present. It also set-up, hosted and project managed the online data collection.
