Paperhouse Document Management is a sister company to ASR providing paper handling company. It can help you to automate any paper-based data collection process and turn it into accessible information. Paperhouse’s services include the design and administration of survey research projects, document printing, bulk mailing, scanning and data processing services.
Paperhouse conducts manual data entry as well as Optical Mark Read (OMR) scanning. OMR scanning enables both the capture of quantitative data quickly, and the subsequent verification and entry of flagged open and closed response fields.
ASR designs and develops database-driven web applications. These include web sites which 'do something' and they may involve e-commerce capabilities. Many of these web site applications are built as part of ASR's survey and research business and are confidential to the client.
We have expertise in a variety of databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc) and development environments including MVC, C#/.NET, MTS/ASP, HTML and XML. Our development team offers a complete solution, from original system design, software development, testing, documentation and commissioning. Your application can be hosted by us or you can host it.
ASR compliance
All ASR research projects and hosting procedures comply strictly with the Australian Privacy Principles. All data we collect is hosted onshore. This is an essential requirement in being compliant with the current Australian Privacy Principles.
The company is ISO AS 20252 quality-accredited, and its principals are members of AMSRS (Australian Market and Social Research Society) as well as being QPRs (Qualified Professional Researchers).
Confidentiality
We take confidentiality and data security seriously. For example, all employees have signed extensive confidentiality agreements as part of their employment agreements, and misuse of client data is grounds for instant dismissal. We are doubly bound by the constraints of being market researchers as well as by the needs of putting in place strict IT security.
All data is collected on behalf of a client and remains the property of the client at all times. ASR does not use client data for other purposes; we hold it in trust on behalf of the client.
By default, ASR keeps backups for 30 days, which are then overwritten in the normal cycle of ongoing backups. However, we do store data long term for some clients who might be doing repeat or longitudinal studies.
Hosted in Australia
ASR provides the SurveyManager platform either as software as a service (SaaS) or installed in-house. For hosting we use the IRAP-certified service of AWS (Amazon Web Services) as well as maintain an IRAP-standard server farm spread across two data centres in in Melbourne, Australia.
Being hosted in Australia ensures that data collected in Australia remains in Australia and is only subject to Australian laws and regulations. ASR’s servers support its market research activities as well as provide hosting facilities for SurveyManager clients who require them.
