ASR was
engaged to administer a multi-survey research project across a large, complex,
decentralised education system. The project encompasses the design and
implementation of surveys for students, parents, school staff, and office
staff, culminating in the production of reports for several hundred schools and
various office teams.
The project
involved:
- Developing separate questionnaires for students,
parents, school staff, and office staff.
- Parent questionnaires in five languages
(Mandarin, Vietnamese, Filipino/Tagalog, Arabic and Spanish)
- Approximately 5,000 paper-copy questionnaires
with prepaid envelopes, to be delivered to a central location
- A communication plan to increase participation
and response rates
- Instructional and/or training resources for
schools to ensure that surveys are administered in a similar way and simple to
complete
- Online survey delivery
- Technical support during the survey period to
handle queries from schools and participants regarding administering, accessing
and/or completing the surveys
- Response rate data during the survey period,
with data broken down by office directorate, or school and survey type
- Reminders sent to those who have not completed
the survey during the survey period
- Data entry for surveys completed using paper
questionnaires.
- Provision of clean unit record survey data
in CSV format
- Provision of suite of PDF survey reports by
school for students & parents, by office staff and by the system overall.
